Terminology

The terminology in the real estate business is often very confusing. This page helps you to get to know the terminology we use:

Term	Description
Principal	The term principal is used in the sense of security principal. It describes an entity that can be identified and authenticated by Sensaru Cloud. In Sensaru Cloud the relevant principals are: System providers, system distributors, business partners and end users. See chapter multi-tenancy.
Tenant	In Sensaru Cloud a tenant always refers to the rentee of an apartment.
Inhabitant	The person who lives in the apartment (not necessarily the person who pays the rent).
Economic unit	Real estates or properties grouped together to be able to bill them together.
Property	Typically refers to a single building. A property consists of one or more administration units.
Administration unit	A single billed entity. E. g. an apartment or garage.
